BROW LAMINATION
Brow lamination is a cosmetic treatment that is used to straighten and shape the eyebrows. It involves using a chemical solution to “lift” and set the brow hairs into a desired shape, creating a more polished and cohesive look. The treatment is often described as a brow perm for the hairs on the top of the eyebrows.
The process typically takes about an hour and is performed by a trained esthetician or brow artist. It begins with the brow hairs being cleansed and brushed upward into the desired shape. A setting solution is then applied to the brows and left on for a few minutes before being neutralized with a second solution. The brow hairs are then brushed into place and a nourishing cream is applied to help protect and moisturize the brows.
Brow lamination can be a good option for people with unruly, thick, or sparse eyebrows who want to create a more cohesive and polished look. The effects of the treatment usually last for several weeks, after which the brow hairs will return to their natural state.
The average longevity for brow lamination is 4-8 weeks. This depends on how fast your hair goes through a growth cycle. Most clients brow hair cycles every 21-90 days. You can also estimate based on your hair growth. If the hair on your head typically grows quickly or slowly, your brows are going to follow suit.
No. If you have sensitive skin to hair dye, you could experience some “stingling” on the skin where the lamination product is placed. This typically only lasts while the product is actually processing and on the skin and does not last.
